So Glad You’re Here!
Hi there!
I’m Amy Clark (she/her), and I’m a Clinical Mental Health Counselor and EMDR Certified Therapist. I received my Master’s degree in Counseling from City University of Seattle and EMDR training from the Humanitarian and Assistance Programs (HAP). Those who know me well describe me as a deeply curious and compassionate person. My goal is to bring those qualities into every session.
You are unique and so are the events that have shaped you. Those events contribute to both your health and distress. I’m here to help you process the difficulties and build on your strengths. Together, we will find a path that works for you, so that you can overcome the issues of the past and live a healthier, more contented present, and experience a brighter future.
FAQs
-
Therapy is a deeply personal journey and unique to every individual. The duration of therapy is different for everyone, too. Some will come for a specific issue and feel improvement with a limited number of sessions. Other clients use this space for deep exploration, evolution, and healing, which takes longer. Whatever path you choose, I’m here to support it.
The initial session is about getting to know you and get clear on your goals. It takes several sessions to get a complete history and understand you as a person more deeply.

EMDR-trained means that a clinician has received the basic 40 hours of clinical training along with 10 hours of consultation. They can begin integrating it into their therapeutic practice.
EMDR Certified means that the clinician has received the initial training, an additional 20 hours of consultation, and taken advanced continuing education in EMDR as well as met other criteria. It is a rigorous process to ensure that clinicians are fully prepared to safely and effectively guide clients through the EMDR process for a variety of concerns.

For fun, you will find me in nature or enjoying life’s simple pleasures;
When I’m not working with clients, you’ll often find me outdoors—hiking, biking, or birding. Nature is where I recharge and reconnect, and it reminds me of the importance of slowing down and paying attention.
At home, love cooking meals with my partner, reading a good book, or connecting with friends. Traveling is a big part of my life as well—the picture to the left was taken on a hike in the Jungfrau region of Switzerland— it fuels my curiosity and deepens my appreciation for different perspectives.
These parts of my life shape how I show up in my work: with curiosity, appreciation for life’s small moments, and a belief in the importance of connection.
